It is rumoured that several major airlines will be sponsoring Europride in London this summer. Anyone know which ones?

Also, do airlines sponsor other gay pride events around the world?

I'd like to see Jet2 sponsor Manchester Pride......I can see it now, a lovely silver and red float in the parade!

Delta Air Lines is the official airline of Pride in New York City.

I also believe they are the official airline sponsors in many other cities throughout the country including LA and Atlanta. Not sure tho.

Not sure about hosting Pride Events or sponsoring rather but AA has been known to sponsor Gay Related Events and Causes down here in Miami and the SoFla area im sure in other parts of the U.S. as well.

Also, side note... they also have a special "Rainbow Traveler" section in their AA.COM AAVacations sections geared towards Gay Travelers and Special Gay Week Vacation Events. As noted on previous posts, Airlines, Hotels etc. have in the past few years really marketed towards the Gay Community as they tend to travel just a bit more (understatement!) than the average person...

Can't they just have a general pride day, which includes straight people as well? Perhaps the celebration of the natural laws of procreation?

Wouldn't it be better to have just a pride day for all people, and not discriminate according to sexual orientation?

it's not discriminating, having a gay pride day. straight people are welcome to come along. it's just one day in the year when people gay/bi/trans gender people can meet up in a big group and celebrate being different. i dont think pride days for everyone would have quite the same effect somehow. but this is completely outside the realm of aviation and the topic that is at hand. and its a pointless argument as well! lol.

You did not give any indication that you worked for bmi...or live in AMS for that matter..... therefore it would be impossible to organize such event.
