When does he go? Will he see out the 6 nations?

Mike Ruddock has stunned the Welsh Rugby Union by announcing he will step down as Wales coach.

Ruddock's departure was confirmed at 2100 GMT on Tuesday at a hastily convened press conference in Cardiff.

Ruddock, who led Wales to the Grand Slam last season, wanted to see out his current contract until the end of the RBS Six Nations campaign.

But WRU chief executive Steve Lewis said that skills coach Scott Johnson will take over with immediate effect.

Depends what's happened in his personal life really. Probably a situation much more important than his job.

All the same, not really what Welsh rugby needs as it goes through a mini revival.

The rumour in all the newspapers is that it isn't about family reasons, but that the players wanted him out.

If so, then presumably delivering a Grand Slam and beating Australia for the first time in God knows how many years with the same bunch of players who previously couldn't beat a pub team wasn't evidence of any ability.

She's as nervous as a very small nun at a penguin shoot.
