What To Do In Philadelphia?

Hey all,
I know this another one of those "what to do in..." threads, but i feel i could get as good info. hear as on travel sites or books. So as the topic says, What is there to do in Phili? My family and I are going to be there for a short too days on a small vacation. we are either flying or taking the train (a short hop from Boston). Is there anything Special going on this week? Places we should not miss?

. I would highly suggest going to the Constitution Center, the Art Museum, and the downtown area around the Liberty Bell and City Hall. You'll find places like Ben Franklin's gravesite around there, and some other pretty cool places. If you get the chance you should try a cheesesteak from Pat's...not Geno's...evillll. And remember it's "Wit" not "with". Wink

The Franklin Institute is one place to go, although it's not as good as it used to be when it had a BA 707-400 on display.

Eat at the Old Original Bookbinders.

Go to the old RR station and eat a cheesesteak.

Go to the Penn RR museum in Lancaster.

Visit the USS New Jersey across the river.

See Independence Hall.

See the Liberty Bell.

How much time you got? There's plenty to do.

Thanks all, i am still working on convincing my mom to get to Phily, via u.s. air and their E170 service from PVD and not via the train. (5 hour ride, come'on!).
sadly i dont have much time, i'll try to fit as much in!

Philly has a world-class art museum. Check out the Philadelphia Museum of Art. They have a great collection of Rodin sculptures. Plus plenty of recognizable works of Wester art throught the ages.

Sadly, the olympics will still be going on at that point. I also have the Bruins here, they are not that bad.
