So my mom works as an animal control officer, and often helps the police force with community service projects around the holidays.

One of these projects is called "Shop With a Cop". Underprivileged children get a certain amount of money with which to buy Christmas presents for their family, and cops volunteer to take the kids out shopping.

The department recently received a thank-you letter from one of the kids I thought you guys might enjoy:
