PC Rachel Brown, the Nottinghamshire police officer shot in the burglary we discussed here, is well on the mend and has stated she wants to get back to work.

Not only back to work, but back on her old beat in Nottingham.

It's by no means a unique story but coppers like Rachel are a credit to the uniform. No feeling sorry for herself, she wants to get back to work and pick up where she left off.

I always thought that Curious George would make a serviceable law enforcement officer. duck

Good for her, though. She doesn't look as tough as she obviously is.

Don't be fooled by those sweet looks, those female UK cops are hard as nails! Good on her for being tough and brave.

I hope "where she left off" involves pulling some chavs fingernails out and stomping on his balls.

You know when you wake up in the morning and you are getting ready for work,, I know I always sort of run though what I am expecting to happen that day and what I have to do.

Getting shot is not usually a thought that crosses my mind !!. Can you imagine being a Cop and actually having to think about the possibility that you may not see your kids again..

They really do deserve our respect, good for her !! She is lovely and tough.  trophy

It appears that she's a fan of Curious George! Is she?

I've always loved him ever since early childhood. Is he coming back into style or something? I haven't seen him around for a long time; now he's back?
