Six of the largest US ports - New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Orleans and Miami - are currently run by British ports and shipping firm P&O, which has agreed a $6.8bn (£3.9bn) takeover by DP World.

In order to save the P&O takeover DPW apparently is ready to compromise about the USA-related part of the deal. Whatever results in the end, the USA-related part of P&O now quite obviously gets separated. I expect a new company, possibly with "Canadian" nationality to be established.
