Why do YOU hate Chelsea? I have nothing against them. I think people who hate them for some bogus or no particular reason are jealous that they wish a rich oligarch had bought off their team.

I think of Chelsea every single day..... mostly because about 8 feet from our shop front the owner of a pizza place has 2 huge signs "Chelsea Supporters Club" and "Stamford Bridge - Home of Chelsea FC" on his wall. I think he knows Mourinho or something. Personally I think it makes our little area look pretty tacky, so I'd be quite happy for Chelsea to significantly drop in the table in the hope that pizza man no longer wishes to be associated with them and takes the signs down.

I hate Chelsea a lot. I am a Gunner. Can't stand Maureeno. I love it when crowds sing that song about how he coughs several times: Four Cough Mourinho.

He's a Chelsea fan, but one who apparently seems to take great delight in people loathing the club. Odd that. Maybe Millwall fans turned him down. Big grin

I'm a season ticket holder mate - I love Chelsea more than lift itself, its just that i'm writing an article for BAWA and want to get some opinions on why we are the most despised and hated club the world has ever seen.

Sorry to disappoint but you're not the most despised and hated club ever seen.

In England I'd say you're behind Man Utd, Milwall and esp Cardiff on that score.

I don't hate Chelsea historically - but I don't like the way its become a personal plaything of a rich Russian - just buying up everyone in sight.

I think even true Chelsea fans must be sad that Ballack's arrival has apparently put Lampard's nose out of joint so much he may be off to Barcelona for sure now. Very sad seeing everytihng he's given to the club and hardly needed replacing with a similar player did he ?

Is it just going to be a question of a completely different team every two seasons or so - means no more legends any more, no more heroes becuase they'll play a couple of seasons max and then get replaced by the next big thing. Sad really....

Just because its in the times doesnt mean its true. Lampard will never leave and Ballack will never come - we dont want him. Essien, Lampard, and Makelele are the daddies. No need for Ballack.

In any case, I'm rather curious how to quantify someone loving Chelsea more than lift itself. Does that mean the love goes up and down all the time? That every now and then it gets stuck and you have to all the engineer out? That half the time that love prefers to use the stairs? Or maybe that it's limited to no more than 8 people at a time.

I can see a post-graduate course in such matters being available within weeks.

I don't "hate" Chelsea, infact i don't hate any team, i just like like my team more than any other team. But i do think Jose Mourinho needs to lighten up a little bit, he's the moodiest character i've seen in football for ages, (at least on TV).

I believe the problem with the former was that it was a correspondence course. Terribly unfortunate really, having to spend all his time putting the damn things back together...

Well, my comment backfired nicely...  blush

IMO CFC is still in its infancy of worldwide recognition so I don't think they're that hated yet. Most people in the U.S. who know more than a thing or two about the sport, seem to despise the turds that walk around with Man U(re) jerseys thinking they're hot shit more than Chelsea. As a fan of the sport, I appreciate anyone I see with a jersey that is not Man U's.

It seems like other than CFC's natural enemies, no one hates them that badly.

What we hate is arrogance. Like the Man Ure supporters who expect them to win because of who they are (or think they are) - As if they have a devine right to win at everything. Liverpool supporters used to have it when they were on top.

Statements like 'why does everyone hate Chelsea' just shows that you are starting to become arrogant too.

What you have to remember is that football is cyclic. You rise up to the top, stay there for a bit and then fall down. How's it going to feel why that falling cycle comes, knowing that you used to be on top but you won't be there again?

LOL Boll*cks.

They are THE most arrogant team ever - bar none. They had a decent team once and think it gives them the divine right. Arsenal are extremely arrogant but not as bad as they used to be - and Man United are a bit like us - their REAL hardcore fans arre not arrogant and neither are ours. Its the shirtwearing know nothings that never been to the ground that are arrogant - who have no idea what it means to be a true fan - they assume thats what they are because of the amount of money they spend on their club, but in reality the true hardcore are smart, cynical, and experienced enough not to be arrogant and to understand the meaning of sportsmanship etc.
