Well I thought I might post to share with you all what a strange day myself and A340600 had yesterday. A while ago we decided to go to CDG for a day and hence booked flights with AF. Got the 321 out of LHR and the 318 into LHR. We set of from Sam's house early yesterday morning to go to LHR in what we thought was in plenty of time. However we hit bad bad traffic on the M25 and eventually got to LHR at 9am. Our flight was due to depart at 9.15. We got to the AF ticket desk where we were told we were too late for the flight. However the lady behind the desk rang through to the gate and we were accepted on the flight and we RAN to gate 14. However when we got there we were told it would be up to the captain whether we were allowed on board or not. He said we were and we made the flight. Lucky eh?
Then on the return flight Sam got the Jumpseat out of CDG. He came and joined me in Y for the rest of the flight.
After landing at LHR we went up to the terminal 2 car park roof where Sam got some shots. We even had 9M-MPB land right in front of us.
We then went into central London where we met up with Shamrock747 for dinner.
Prior to that at LGW on the sunday we had seen Peter Max, 2 777-300ER's a CO 757 with Winglets and numerous DOC's lol. Oh and the occasional EZY 319.
And I was supposed to fly MAN-LGW to get here but the LGW flight was cancelled and I was re routed to LHR on G-CPEM who still wears the Blue Peter scheme.
Look forward to Sam's trip report of the return flight to LHR.
Just thought I would share with you all our weekend of LUCK!!!!

What a wonderfully strange day, from lunching opposite Notre Dame and racing down the runway with the pilots to the G-A-Y bar in London it was diverse to say the least!
How on earth we got onto that flight in the morning is beyond me. It had passed 9 when we arrived and ran to the AF desk. They re-opened the jetbridge and 10 minutes later we were being pushed back! Mad!
And our luck! To arrive at LGW to a 75 winglets flying over your head and EK bringing in two 777-300ER's in the space of an hour and Peter Max revving up in front of our eyes. We jokingly said all we needed now was Wunula or the Malaysian at LHR and we got one!
Just about to start writing T/R, truly great weekend, one to treasure for years to come.
Despite the name I am a Boeing man through and through!
