Anyone else having difficulty accessing some of the major websites? I'm on NTL Broadband and since 8 o'clock GMT have had trouble accessing Yahoo, Google, even ebay is down - all I get is "The page cannot be displayed"

Even www.microsoft.com is not working.

Anyone else on NTL having trouble?

Im on NTL Broadband and have had problems all night, and still am. There was a thread about not being able to get onto Google earlier, but it was deleted. This is the only site I'm not having problems with,

Same here. Just checked the NTL service status - no problems listed (only service will be cut out after midnight in some areas). Still, that shouldn't affect us.

I was beginning to think there was something wrong with my router - but it looks like the problem is on their side, as usual  banghead .

It's becoming a habit fo their's lately, and with cable too. Thank gawd I'm cancelling it in the next couple of weeks. Their customer services leaves a lot to be desired too.

Normally for me that means reset the router time, but its not doing that to me right now... it normally waits for me to play an onlien game, then cut out.

I'm starting to be able to get onto the likes of eBay etc, so looks like they've sorted out the problem.

Yep most of the websites are back up and running now. I'm thinking of changing my ISP but we currently have 2mb broadband with no usage limits for a pretty good price and I don't think any other ISP can offer that. The only main problem I have with NTL is the service quality. There always seems to be some sort of problem.

As I posted in the other thread on this, before it disappeared into the ether, this is a problem with Akadns flushing its cache on a few of its superproxies.

Is anyone else having problems with their internet? I can't get onto eBay and Googlemail, and some icons won't show.

I wish NTL would sort themself out. These problems are getting too common now.

It took me 10 minutes to get this thread open.

Well totally unrelated this BT Broadband Business user couldn't get online for hours today. After a few calls to India and a smashing up of my router here I am back online

*Note, the monkey's in the call centre were fucking useless and all I ended up doing was getting charged national rate for 35 minutes while I held and then got told to unplug a cable! Moronic bastards.
