Today, March 8th, is the International Women's day (I'm not sure if this is the correct spelling in English, but anyhow).

I would like to use the opportunity for paying tribute to all women on A.net and beyond. Congratulations and thank you for being such wonderful wives - girlfriends - mothers - sisters - daughters - friends.

The world would be a sad place without you.

Cheers

Alex

Maybe not. But you know what? I'm married to a man, and since I'm bad with dates, I figure I'll just celebrate his contribution to my well-being EVERY day so I don't screw up and forget. Will that do?

Oh come on.... Far from that. I can't stand Gilmore girls (have seen only once). But think about it, there are only a few valiant women on A.net. Don't you think that if we are nice to them they may invite some more friends?

Lilith Fair... reminds me of Sarah Mclachlan and Alanis Morissette... urgh!

Hey, I don't mind either one - it is just an excuse to stay home and browse A.net! Big grin

Sorry, but this stinks of Hallmark.

Alex, nice of you to recognize the day, but unfortunately, days like this and Valentines day are becoming increasingly ridiculous.

Why does a single solitary day have to be different from all the others?

Oh, and Alex, Sara McLaughlin is excellent. I love her stuff

Oh and GKirk...well done. good contribution to this thread  Wink

AFAIK, Women's day is not a hallmark day. It was introduced by the UN (or similar) to celebrate women all over the world.
