Ok, so here we go.
Roloson to The Oilers for a 1st round pick
Richardson to the Leafs for a 5th round pick(not that this will help, they need a whole new team )
Niemenen to San Jose for a 3rd round pick
This trade deadline is tough, the salary cap is making things tough.
There are rumors of my Lightning making a run at Giguere, but I don't know how they can afford him.
Well, I'll let the 9 of us that give a shit about hockey get after it. Hopefully we see some great deals!
i've always liked Richardson, He's a leader, a smart player and is tough as nails, wouldn't have minded havin' him on the Canucks!
Speaking of Canucks, rumor has it that they are trying to wheel and deal for Cujo
and theres word out west here about a deal with Bertuzzi going to Ottawa for either Redden or Chara. Even though I really like Bertuzzi, his play this year isn't cutting it and we are DESPERATE for defencemen.
Edit; This just in: La Kings trade Jeff Tambellini and Denis Gerbeshkov to La for Brent Sopel and Mark Parrish. Islanders got the better half of that deal.

Bertuzzi isn't going anywhere this season, Nonis has already said this.

Wow, the Kings might as well start planning for the parade!

Geez! he's still around. How does he use his walker on the ice?

As I understand, if Roloson signs a long-term deal at the end of the season with the Oilers, the Wild also get a conditional pick, which will probably be as high up as 3rd round.
Mariusz Czerkzwski signed on to the Bruins from waivers.
The biggest bombshell now: Avs trade David Aebischer for Jose Theodore. That's a bone-headed move. They're just trading oranges for oranges: an inconsistent goalie to replace another inconsistent goalie. Now what puzzles me is this: IMO Aebischer can be a much better goalie than Theodore, who really only had one good season. With Blake and Sakic most likely gone at the end of the season, they could even offer Aebischer a "juicier" contract to keep him in the long-run.

Damn! I can't pronounce the names of anyone in the league anymore. Atlanta's season has been yet another one of disappointment and .500 play. What do you guys think they might do?

They have a scary offence with Kovvy, Hossa, Kozlov and Savard. Modry is their only player on defence worth mentioning and in net Garnet and Lehtonen have been anyhting but stellar, although hopefully Dunham can help out there. I'd say they should shoot for a D man, as yoo yoo said McCabe, Redden and Chara are up for grabs.

Defense has always been an oversight of theirs. I've given up on my Blackhawks and have begun to devote attention to the Lightning as someone who remembers when they played in the Big Pimple and how far they've come since then.

let's go Penguins for first round pick of 2006!!
honestly, they had to be the biggest disappointment this year.
Gonchar: what the hell happened with him?
Palfy: retires mid-season.
Lemeuix: don't get me wrong, he's one of the greats. but let's face it, he stayed in too long.
Crosby: yeah, he's f*cking good, but he can't do it by himself, he needs support.
I think the Pens need to get their defense in order. they can only go up from this season.
what do other people think about their season?

I agree.
As for Theodore, a move away from his trouble might be a cure and bring him back to his former gloy days.

You heard it here first. Pitt will win the cup within 5 years. REbuilding from the bottom up is going to be the best thing they can do.
Toronto should folllow this thought.

There's been rumors of a trade with the Flames, but I highly doubt it since the Thrasher involved isn't liked too well up in Calgary since he whined to be traded from there several seasons back. The rumored trade is Savard for Leopold, but to me the trade doesn't make sense because the center spot is somewhere we cannot afford to lose any players at (Especially since Patrik Stefan is on the IR, and should be back within the next 2-3 weeks) Any Thrashers trade will have to include a player on the roster because the Thrashers are butting up against the cap right now. A Stefan for Leopold trade could be possible $$$ wise, but we'd probably have to throw in a prospect and/or a pick.

Quoting YooYoo (Reply 4): I do suspect that McCabe will be on the move. (Tor)
I don't think so. I know that his value is high now, but I think that he truly wants to be a Leaf next year. Now that being said, I would deal him if the right deal came onto the table, because once tommrow at 3pm passes we lose all the value in him to free agency. I do hope that he's a team player and signs, him and Kaberle are fantastic together.
Quoting YooYoo (Reply 4): Chara or Redden will also be moved (Ott)
I doubt you'll see either of these two move. Muckler has already said that anything short of the cup this year would be a dissapointment, I don't think that they will move these guys, although Chara is a free agent in the summer, so I suppose that they may move him while he still has high value, but the price would be pretty steep I would think.

Why oh Why was is not Berg ??
I think that I would trade Berg to any team for future considerations. I might even consider paying someone to take him, we could pull up someone from the Marlies that works out better than him!

How about the old bag o pucks?
That Theodore move is a bombshell...wow! The next few years will tell the story with this deal, if Theodore can get his game back, the Avs stole him. If he remains inconsistent, then they swapped for a goalie who makes a lot of money and is very inconsistent, plus has a Propecia habit.
Looking at the Isles deal...brings a few things to mind: How about this for worst trade ever
Oleg Kvasha and Mark Parrish to the Isles
for
Roberto Luongo and Olli Jokinen
I can't believe Milbury has kept his job this long.
Quoting YooYoo (Reply 4): This comment was meant for me i suspect. I will not stoop to your level.
Lets let this Saturday tell the tale. We are on your ass !!
The only thing the Leafs will be on is the golf course come April. However, with the defense and goaltending they both have we could be in for a 9-8 game. By the way, why not start building with Marty St. Louis? What a terrible year. It seems like his fire is gone with the big contract. He's not the "disrespected little guy" anymore and his game has gone away like that tag.

Milburys an idiot and should have been fired years ago. The isles have gone through 10 coaches in the past 9 years, I think its time for the Owner to take a look at the GM instead of the Coach for reasons why they arent making any progress in the past decade.

Both OTT and TOR have some issues with their defence. They are going to be worth some serious dollars and to have 2 of your 6 defencemen taking up roughly $10 million bucks of your cap will be hard to swallow. Kaberle signed for what?...$4.5 million.....McCabe is going to want that if not more. I think he turned down $4.25 already. Chara and Redden are huge dollars next year for OTT to retain them both.
