Hot on the heels of the snow post, a summer one... who here has a swimming pool? This is my pool in my garden, taken this morning, it's 30C here!

After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

there's an old rule of thumb is to "never put in a pool of your own but tell your neighbors to put one in and pay them $10,000."

so my dad did just that.

then of course he wanted water toys, so we wound up buying a house on a lake just so he could have them.

They're great to have, but they're a bugger to maintain! I always seem to be buying chemicals.

If there was no such thing as an automatic pool cleaner I would not have a pool....

I got a pool. Never really enjoyed it until we got a solar heater for it. Now we use it about 8 months a year.

I have a 10'x20' blue tarp that I lay out in the backyard every summer. That way people flying over my house and think I have a pool.

Throw a couple of pool toys out on it and the illusion looks pretty good.

We have a pool however in South Carolina its still not that great a idea to have cause we wont be able to use it till close to June and only thru Late September. The water (even tho its 80 today) is still a chilly 53 degrees!!
