The other night, (maybe 5 or 6 nites ago) I had a strange dream.. I was flying on a L-1011 (Outside looks) from AA (Paint scheme) but called an MD-80 (by the announcements).. Special filght, was it's last flight, and was being escorted by 2 NW Saabs (I don't know why..) Was really wierd.. The flight was cool, but I left my camcorder on the plane, and when I asked if I could go back and get it, I was told it had to be confiscated as no recording devices in the planes.. Also, kinda wierd, the seating was 2-4-4-2.. I dunno.. Kinda odd..
What do you think it means???

I know some may say this belongs in Civ, but as it is not REAL at all, I say it goes here..

Chris

I had a flashback to being a passenger during the final moments of BOAC Flt 911 (crashed 1966) once. Very weird!!!

A lot of times dreams mean absolutely nothing. I have had a few that did turn out to mean something too. I used to have dreams all the time about a vice president of the company I worked for, and they always involved feet in one way or another. Nothing every became of them. I have also had dreams that were frighteningly important. It's all your mind. Just like when you are awake sometimes you are thinking about something important and meaningful, and other times you're thinking about the Easter bunny.

Maybe your subconscious is trying to tell you not to take certain things in life seriously?

As crazy and jokingly as this sounds, you really should take this seriously. You may have actually entered an out-of-body experience, depending on how vivid it was. Check out some of William Buhlmont's studies into this @ http://www.out-of-body.com

Sometimes I wonder if I should give up at school and become a physic. Well, two days ago I didn't have a dream, but I woke up around 4am, only two hours after I fell asleep. This is extremely unusual because I always sleep very soundly and hardly ever wake up at night. When I woke up, I felt thirsty. But for some reason, I felt the tap water (which I usually drink) had been contiminated and I drank some bottled water instead and went back to sleep.

The freaky thing is that the next morning it was reported that someone had broken into a water treatment plant nearby in Toronto overnight and there were fears that the water was contaminated! Turned out to be nothing serious, but still...

Also, my most famous experience was writing about a ficticious ValuJet crash a few months before there was a real crash in 1996. I still have the document on one of my old macs.

Obviously, you think about airliners too much! Big grin And you have a fear of losing personal belongings! Just like me.

Oh, I think Walkerton is still in your mind. I always advise people to boil the water no matter how safe they promised it is, I never drink tap water unless absolutely necessary.

Btw, they need to put more guards to the reservoirs... now that's scary.

Sounds like an airliner movie!!!

There is always a story to dreams.

It all combines from the Concious world, for example having a nightmare after watching a horror movie.

In Chris' case, he was thinking about the final DL flight, the Crashes into the world trade centre and New Saab's??? Car? Tightened security on aircraft and at airports (heard Sunil Gupta's story?), etc etc.

I find that i can piece together all parts of my dreams to stuff that has happened in the past few days, and if you think about it Chris i bet you could too!!!!

Although, some people i think have events that happen a couple of days into the future instead of the past!!

Regards

Dan

Well tap water tastes so disgustingly hard here that I don't care if it's contaminated or not, I would never drink it anyway...
One of my strangest aviation-related dreams was flying on a L-188 with one of our family friends who is an A330 pilot. The Electra had a 2-2 seating arrangement...
I sometimes dream about girls I like who don't look the way they do in the dream as they look in reality (ugh, a bit unclear, isn't it?) but somehow I know it's them. I dreamt about Lisa, the girl I liked most in summer and her figure looked hideous in the dream. My friend assured me that's normal though  Confused

The Strangest dream I have ever had, was my dad was being very very nice to me, and I just killed him. Flat out killed him, with a letter opener on christmas. After he was dead, my family cheered during the christmas dinner. After dinner, my mom bought me a cessna she was so happy.

Talk about strange... about a year ago (Sept, Oct or nov) I had a dream about the twin towers falling down because of a plane (I was on) and I just walked out of the plane like it was at the gates and ran down in a pink shirt ( When I was on the plane I had a black one) And when I got down the policemen were looking at my hair to see if I needed a haircut.

Maybe it meant something
