What To Do With Three Weeks?

This afternoon, when I get off work at 3PM, I will begin a three week vacation.

Normally, I would use this time to take my trip to New York.

But in light of current situations, I regretfully decided against going there.

But I have to take the time, or else lose it.

And I'm avoiding the airports like the plague right now. The fact that I get a wonderful view of all departures from ONT making the left turn, heading southeast on departure from my front yard, and the planes heading into LAX fly high directly overhead makes it all the worse.

Geez....what to do??????

Listen to Rudy. Don't alter your plans. I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago, and there was no problems at all. If anything, it was moving seeing people more friendly than usual, and people working together. The airports I have been to also have been seemingly deserted, from what I am used to. I am flying tomorrow from ROC to Omaha through ORD and am looking forward to it.

Well my dad offered to pay me $1500 to repaint the interior of his house.

It's a tempting offer, but it will be a job where EVERY SINGLE PENNY will be very hard earned.

Drive to Canada, just for the hell of it. That's pretty much what I did one weekend last summer.

Hey Matt D...
Ever think of just going to camp out in Lake Tahoe for a weekend, or 4 days? It is so nice up there. When I go to Fan Francisco, my family owns a house up in Chambers, Lake Tahoe. I see there are some great camping spots up there. It's only about 4 hours from San Francisco, maybe more from where you are.

Or...Why not take a road trip to Mexico? LOL

Even though I really don't want you this close to me (half-serious, half-kidding  Big grin ) Go to New York. Take enjoyment that you're not letting anyone stop you let your live your life and go visit one of the most spectacular cities in the world. I live 30 minutes away, and I wish damn well my mother will let me go into the city, I was invited to a journalism seminar at Columbia, but being just a little bit under 16 (That comes Monday), I'm not allowed to go to my city. So go, so someone here can enjoy themselves. If I wasn't controlled by my mother, I'd be there. You should be too.

1. Research some world problems (hunger, poverty, violence, racism, etc.) and write a report of your findings and send them to the Unted Nations and the President.

2. Come up with 50 questions to ask various political candidates in the upcoming elections.

3. Volunteer at your local homeless shelter.

4. Create a fundraising drive for the poor in your area.

5. Pick up trash you find on your streets and highways.

6. Watch re-runs of the "Wonder Years" while eating junk food.

7. Party in NYC.
