It would be nice, wouldn't it? I don't think it's gonna happen though. Duke will probably pound them in the ass again in the Elite 8 although I don't think it'll be as bad as their first encounter this season.

Since baseball was last year, it can't be all three in one school year. I doubt Texas will make it to the final four,

, its been a down year for Big 12 hoops along with the Pac-10.

Uh... both Texas and Texas A&M (both in Big 12) have had extremely good seasons. A&M just beat Syracuse in the NCAA tournament and has a 22-8 record. I would say that it has been an extremely good year for both. Now the Pac-10 indeed has had a down year. But again, the Big 12 and Pac-10 aren't known for their basketball. They are know for their football!

Texas A&M started out 10-0 by beating up on the likes of Southern, Mississippi Valley( Jerry Rice majored in Auto Mech here), Tulane (the school with no campus), North Texas, Grambling, Savannah St (have they won a game yet) Texas Southern, and then they staggered to the finish line with a 11-8 finish with two of those over Baylor (couldn't start on time because were in trouble with the law). Couldn't beat Pacific, lost to both Kansas schools, Record wise a fine year,if they didn't beat Texas in that one game they would have been NIT bound but then again A&M is known for football. I

Since A&M and LSU are 29-29 at the half, I might have to eat some crow.

Texas is still hot. I like their chances at winning all three majors.

heck yes it is in one year, This is still the 2005 season . Baseball-2005 season champs are the longhorns, football- 2005 season champs are longhorns, and Basketball would make it a three in a year champs run.

This is the 2005-06 basketball season. The majority of the season is disputed in 2006 though, so calling it the 2005 season would be wrong IMO.

Pac-10 does have a strong basketball showing. UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, and Washington are (or were recently) great teams.

Don't think the Horns are deep enough to make a run into the Final Four - I see them going out to Duke next Saturday/Sunday.

As for the season, I go by the school year, not to mention that all the championship games of the school year are in the same year - Football is the first week of January, basketball in March and Baseball in June. Still, I don't see the Horns taking the basketball or baseball (it's the ACC's year this year - league is ultra-competitive) crowns.

Go Mountaineers and Geaux Tigers! I really hope its not a Duke-Texas matchup in the Elite 8, that's a lose-lose situation for me as a strong hater of both programs (but on the plus side, one will be done!)

I'm calling BS on that...Texas was #2 in the preseason poll (http://www.statesman.com/horns/content/sports/stories/longhorns/11/8top25.html)and I dont think they ever really dropped out of the top 10 during the season...if the equivalent expectation with a season like that is to not even make it to the sweet 16, then things must be in a sorry state in Austin....
