So currently I have this:

HP Compaq NC 8230

Centrino 1.83ghz
512MB Rhaam
15"4 WUXGA
60GB
Radeon X600 graaphics

I also ordered this powerfoolishness this weekend:

Shuttleuh P3100G

P4 Dual Whore 3GHZ
2GB Rhaam
200GB
X800GTO 256MB Grhaaphics
+80GB HDD to be installed on arrhaaival.

So what foolishness do you have? As you can tell I like Intel Processors and avoid AMD due to their oven-like overheating.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop.

Intel Pentium M 1.73GHz
100 GB Hard Drive
Integrated Graphics Chip
Sound Blaster Audigy NX External Sound Card
1024MB RAM

Not a bad laptop, it seems to run the flight simulator fairly well, not as good as my old desktop, but I was thinking of building my own desktop for games and keeping the laptop for work.

I've got a Dell tower, its around 5 years old now but works fine. Since I did the wireless router in the house, I am usually on my CF-29 Toughbook though.

Hm.

Currently:

Main desktop #1:
AMD Athlon 64 X2-4200 Dual Core
2 GB RAM
2x250 GB WD SATA (RAID1)
2x320 GB WD SATA (RAID1)
Geforce 7800 GT
Nvidia based motherboard (ASUS A8N32SLI-Deluxe)
Windows XP SP2 (+ Virtual PC 2004 and other OSs as needed)

Most of the work is done on this one, so that's why it's fully RAID-ed  Wink

Firewall, web server, mail server, name server, experimental machine (several DB engines running on it), frequently used as a desktop too:
AMD Athlon64 3000+
1.5GB RAM
2x80 GB (RAID1)
120 GB (hot backups of online data)
160 GB (hot backups of online data)
Geforce 6800GT
Nvidia based motherboard (ASUS K8N E-Deluxe)
Slackware 10.2

Desktop #2 (in another flat):
AMD Athlon XP2500+
768MB RAM
120 GB
40 GB
Geforce 4-Ti 4200
Nvidia based motherboard (ASUS K8N-E Deluxe)
Windows XP SP2

Firewall, web server, db server, name server, mail server:
Pentium 4 - 2.0 GHz
1 GB RAM
2x160 GB (RAID1)
160 GB (hot backups)
Geforce 4-MX 440
i845-GL based motherboard (ASUS P4PE)
Slackware 10.2

2 notebooks:

Dell Inspiron 4150 (for techie jobs):
Intel P4-1.8 Mobile
14" LCD
512 MB Ram
30 GB HDD
Radeon Mobility 7500  Wink
RS-232 port!  Wink (what I miss most in 'modern' notebooks)
Windows XP SP2

Acer Extensa 4102WLMi (meetings, etc.)
15.4" wide LCD
Intel Centrino M740 1.73 GHz
1 GB Ram
100 GB HDD
Radeon Mobility X700
no RS-232 port...
Windows XP SP2

I have a friend who actually still has his Altair 8800! Not sure if it still works but that was my first intoduction to a home computer, by helping him get it working...we had to program it at times via the front panel switches...as I recall, it had 4k!
