I read with disgust and horror the story of the Pommie Rugby supporter getting the crap kicked out of him (twice) for cheering a try by the brits.

I would have thought the nice friendly Aussies would be able to prevent them selves from sinking to the low, low depths of English footie hooligans, shame on yer!

Ah, look, it's a terrible thing, but every nation has their fair share of idiots. You can't blame all of Australia for a few nutcases. I'm absolutely certain that 20 million other Aussies are appalled by it.

Yes, we Aussies are usually smart enough (when we're sober that is) not to cheer in front of a Kiwi fan when their side is losing! Mind you, he proably got the crap beaten out of him for being a pom................ poor bugger. This particular incident got a bit of press here in Melbourne, the guy spent the night in hospital before being released. Sad, very sad.

Not in rugby, surely? Having banter with the opposition fans is part of the fun, for all teams. I rather doubt it was rugby fans that did this, just a few oiks.

More like it was Qantasforever.....thinking is was me!!!

I don't hold the incident against all Ozzies, same as I'm sure there are nice people in the Isle of Dogs!!
