Well, Kelly is doing awesome as most would know and Carrie Underwood is doing ok right now.

But what happened to Ruben Studdard and Fantasia Barrino (sp)? And how bout Clay Aiken?

At least some of the people that appear on American Idol actually achieve some stardom. It's only my opinion but I really think that shows such as the X Factor, Pop Idol, Fame Academy bla bla bla should be taken of TV. None of the stars are actually any good to start with. Of course ONE has to win. It's a 'best of a bad bunch' kinda winner. thumbsdown

I know someone will mention Will Young so I just wanna say that he would be probably the only exception in this case. I don't think he's in any way a good performer but we still hear about him every day so he must be doing something right.

Ruben is probably chowing down on a Rueben somewhere.

Don't worry about your spelling of Fantasia's name...she can't read anyways.

Clay Gaiken is hiding in a closet somewhere and singing to old ladies in casinos when he isn't in there.

So she says. I think it was just a guide to sell her autobiography. It surely didn't help her sell records. I question it only because she would have had to pick songs that she knew all the words. Given the spread of musical themes in the show I just think she would have to be able to read some.

Me? No. Him, perhaps. He's definitely a Friend of Dorothy.

Oh. I got it from a horrible site that will send me to the fires of Hell.

The guy who runs it most likely got the term from her. In fact I know I've seen him mention it now and then. It's a celebrity gossip site that I check once a day or so for a good laugh.

Former "American Idol" finalist Jennifer Hudson has landed the much-sought-after role of Effie White in the movie version of the Broadway musical Dreamgirls.

The 24-year-old Chicago native won the role over 783 hopefuls, including last year's "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino, who was a strong frontrunner.

If I had a good "Owned" image I would post it here and dedicate it to Fantasia.
