Anyone else see this? We just had a partial solar eclipse in this country, just managed to see it in the bottom left corner of the sun briefly.... I think the totality area was in Africa somewhere.

Did anyone see this amazing phenomenon? I didnt see the total eclipse down here in Devon in 1999, because of cloud.

Just after I had a text in work from one of my mates telling me about it, I noticed an ellipse shaped light on the floor beside me. It had a small bite out of it on the left side, which shimmered slightly and moved very slowly. Lasted for about twenty mins till the sun went in.

Earlier today I enjoyed 3 minutes 10 seconds of totality from Antalya on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. The weather was near perfect with only a few wispy clouds in a clear sky. The eclipse was absolutely stunning. They really are among the most spectacular of all natural phenomena, well worth a trip to a great Turkish beach resort.  Smile

There should be an a.net meet in Shanghai for the 2009 eclipse!

Greetings from Turkey,

Edward
