Well those shows aren't made for the kiddies... esp as it is all on after 11pm EST.
My favorite Adult Swim original is Harvey Birdman. I just bought the Volume One DVD set too. I think it is a combination of clever writing and great voice talent (Gary Cole and Stephen Colbert voice most of the main characters) really makes the show. The season closer last fall, The Duplicator, with Lewis Black voicing the Duplicator was great.
I was a big fan of Sealab 2021, but it hasn't been in the rotation lately. I also make a point of catching the new episodes of the Boondocks.

Quoting Komododx (Reply 3): I only watch it when Family Guy is on. The rest is crap!
You must be joking. I'm not a fan of some of the stuff on there (if they never play Inuyasha again I will be overjoyed), but Adult Swim has some really good shows, like Harvey Birdman, Stroker and Hoop, and Paranoia Agent (or had in that case, it's been replaced by other anime). Apart from Inuyasha, I couldn't call anything on Adult Swim crap.

Agreed. It's heartbreaking, though, because [as] airs at the same time as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, so I'm torn until I know if I've seen that particular episode of Futurama or Family Guy recently, lol.
Although, I will say I am quite excited for the new season of Robot Chicken...

Isn't there a drinking game related to that show? It has something to do with the hundreds of times you hear "Inuyasha" or "Kagome" said during a single half-hour episode.
I swear those two say each other's names to each other more than two horny cats meowing to each other in the course of a night of mating.

Quoting Lehpron (Thread starter): Is it me or are these pretty much aimed at the 20/30-ager crowd?
That is the target market. What ever happened to good old cartoons like Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes? They are so much better (and so delightfully non-PC) than anything out there today.

Ditto.
Well, maybe not all of [as] is crap. I must say I find Robot Chicken to be a little funny sometimes. On the other hand, I hate the Boondocks.

I'm Old School when it comes to [adult swim]. The first seasons of Sealab 2021 (Before the guy who voiced Capt. Murphy died), the Brak Show (Zorak Rules!), and of course ATHF are some of the best stuff. Harvey Birdman is great as well, but I really loved the reimaging of some of the H-B stuff by John K. (The Ren & Stimpy guy). Robot Chicken has its' moments as well.
I never really got into Futurama until it showed up on Adult Swim.
I can't watch the programming anymore since it comes on after I've gone to bed.
As for the anime garbage, that stuff deserves to be removed as it really to me doesn't fit the niche.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force was Awesome. Especially the aliens.
Whoever came up with the evil alien with the German accent, Oglethorpe, was just genius. Sublime. Especially when he is trying to barbecue watermelon.
Also, who needs cliches such as Star Wars when on this show the two groups of aliens (the Mooninites and the Plutonians) fight by giving each other the finger, mooning each other, or writing graffiti on each other's ships...
