PS I had been going to reprimand you for not being kiwi enough and saying "kettle "... but then I realised that with the number of US members we have here suggesting people post photos of their 'jugs' would just be asking for trouble

Ok, I'll bite. I have one of these, but in yellow - wedding present. It's iron, it's French, it whistles, and it boils water a damn sight faster than our old electric kettle. Sadly, it's hard to find decent tea here in Arizona, the locals are only interested in iced tea.
