A lot of messages in my inbox recently have automatically been redirected to "junk" as Hotmail has decided that the above .zip attachment is unsafe. Now all of these emails are from unknown sources and as such, Hotmail has done a good job and it won't even let me download the attachment even if I wanted to; I'm wondering if the above worm rings any bells with anyone else...
Btw, anyone know what a .zip file is...???

A .zip file dates back to the 1990's when there was a programme avaliable as shareware called Winzip. It allowed you to compres multiple files into a single smaller .zip file, this was radical technology then and although the use of winzip has declined now since Windows XP includes it's own compression software it does use the .zip format.
Other compression formats include
.rar, .raw - Winrar
.ace - Winace
Winzip, Winrar and Winace could all open the following
.cad - Used in setup files in the olden days (which meant if you had a dogy install application you could do a manual install).
.Zip files are also compatible on Apple Macs.
Hope that explained it
