I had just posted a thread here a few minutes ago about the alleged time traveler, John Titor, when someone responded -- out of the blue -- that they were reminded of a song regarding the passage of time and a journey by train.
Coincidentally, I was just on the phone confirming train tickets with Amtrak.
How bizarre!
So, this leads me to think: What striking coincidences have happened to you lately, or can you think of, that don't seem to have logical connections or explanation other than the fact of mere happenstance?

Quoting Dougloid (Reply 1): In the words of the fictional Navajo detective Joe Leaphorn, if you believe in coincidence you haven't looked hard enough.
That's kind of creepy to think about. If every event has meaning, then it's simply a matter of discerning those meanings, which could lead to some fairly uncomfortable conclusions.
Of course, one must also consider that, as Freud says, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. The science of the unconscious is still quite vague, in my opinion. Still less well known is that which might underlie reality.

Quoting Viv (Reply 3): Synchronicity is what you are talking about.
