A Prayer For The Arsenal Tonight

With the Champions League clash only hours away, I feel it necessary to ask for a little help tonight.

Dear Lord in Heaven, I get down on my knees,
It seems that I'm in need of Your expertise.
Please can You let time flow by faster,
And let not this week end in disaster.

It seems as though time has come to a halt,
I know of no one else that is at fault.
Please as we go to the Delle Alpi,
Make our semi final place a guarantee.

Do not let us blow a two goal lead,
Oh dear Lord I beseech you, I plead.
And while You're at it it would be quite neat,
If we could keep 8 successive clean sheets.

Very impressive! Did you make that up yourself or was it copy and paste? Big grin

We should finish off the job and secure a semi-final against Villareal, if we don't it would be a tragedy with only ourselves to blame. Just one more goal should do the job tonight, i expect a good game of football.

ARSENALLLLLLLLLLLLL.

Unfortunately I am not the author of that prayer but it was deserved of being posted on here.

We have had a tendency to go out to teams that arnt the best nor the worst, never quite the winners and Villa seem to be them.

I am suspicious of playing them first at highbury but to defend the 2nd game at highbury as every goal they score we would haev to answer with two brings a sigh of relief to me.

All I can say is that Wenger, I doubted you at the beginning of the season but i called you the boss and the man who is mroe wrong than right and your proving to still be that man.

A nice, controlled and measured performance from us, nothing spectacular like last week, but it did the job and can look forward to the Villareal clash.

As a Goooner, I was sooooo pleased with the result. Villareal will be tough, but if we keep it tight and play our game, we can do it.
