the "one hour past midnight random thread"!
I've just read through this thread... Macs Run Windows XP - Official (by RichardPrice Apr 5 2006 in Non Aviation)
And just had a look through the danish apple store... just to look... they had a nice offer on an iBook G4 12''... decided to get the 80 gb ultra ATA harddrive instead of the standard 40 GB one as well...
And thus, I've just completed my life's most expensive impulsive act...
Has anyone else been brought to do something impulsive/random/stupid after reading an a.net thread?

Quoting Cadet57 (Reply 1): Umm, I have some bad news jap. The mac/windows setup is only possible on a Intel based mac...
Naw, i don't care about that!!
I'm pretty tired of Windows, and my laptop is absolutely f00ked, so I did need another one... when I saw that offer on an iBook, I decided to go for Mac... I love the little, spiffy 12'' iBook... wanted one for ages...
Quoting Saxdiva (Reply 2): Well, there was that time I flew to Amsterdam.... bigthumbsup
I went to Canada once... wasn't because I saw an a.net thread though... but pretty damn impulsive still... ah, gotta love them random trips

I think my most expensive impulse buy from an a.net thread was maybe a CD or two. However, I have made purchases based on information provided from a combination of many a.net threads, namely from within the photog forum

yes, I often book some "random trip".. flying to TLV in july (after surfing on anet), decided to go spontaneously to LON in March, and once in a while, after some good discussions, bought a book in the Web on a topic I wanted to learn more (my latest: a theoretical reader on development, anthro and post-modernism )
