Now what was the name of the New York Times reported that made up his stories? From what I heard and read regarding the young teenagers it sounds very possible the story is based on fact. Then again how does a English reporter track down a teenager in middle of no where.

WTF? Too hard for you to believe???

My understanding is that the Guardian is one of the better, more believeable news sources in the UK.

So what's your problem with this Andes? Not enough torture and blood and killing for you?? Difficult for you to believe humane treatment?

I was attempting to be very sarcastic. Newspapers around the world published the GITMO stories of 'torture' and created a scandal. Now the same type of newspaper that had published about GITMO as a scandal publicizes that some teens received really good treatment there. Who to believe?

There has been enough blood and torture, very little of it from the US side. I tend to believe the humane treatment received by these kids from the American side.

From having talked to several soldiers and law enforcement individuals in the US, these are the people I trust the most in law enforcement. I always thought that the GITMO story was nothing compared to what other countries have done to their prisioners. I saw this story and found it interesting how a different perspective was provided.

Doesn't excuse the bad things that have occured there though. I'm ashamed of some of the actions of people there that call themselves "soldiers".

I wouldnt excuse it for the world, but GITMO was peanuts compared to what other countries do.

While it is nice to see that the US treated these boys so nicely.....Super, a regular holiday.
And while it is also a pleasant change from all the gore we are accustomed to hearing.
I have just one question,

WHY ARE THEY ABDUCTING CHILDREN!? Sending them halfway across the world? What is the bloody point?

I don't get it.
But I guess that is why there is a place like Guantamano Bay, where the rules of the world don't exist.
