Twenty years ago, I wrote a paper for a political science university course. It dealt with illegal immigrants taking up arms against the United States. They did so after more restrictive immigration and deportation legislation was signed into law. As law enforcement officials started rounding them up, a few fought back. More and more illegals joined the cause and within weeks there were bullets flying in nearly every state.
I got marked down because the professor said the illegals were technically an invading "army." My use of the term "civil war" wasn't exactly correct.

I think terming it 'civil war' is incorrect, as a civil war is between two segments of a single country -- illegal immigrants are not US citizens. Therefore, a large conflict with them wouldn't be a civil war - rather a war against a foreign enemy on your turf.
Quoting Jwenting (Reply 3): Mexican troops have already engaged US border patrol in armed combat in support of illegals, so the armed invasion of the USA is already underway.
That is true, and more of them are bound to occur with the increasing battle between US citizens who want to preserve their country, and illegal immigrants who think they're special and deserve to be put above our laws.
And it will be a war for nothing less than preserving the ideals of the Republic, our sovereignty, and our national defense. But the war isn't necessarily against the illegals themselves, but against our own enemy within who refuses to protect the citizens of the USA.
Yes, there is a war. The shots have already been fired. We'll see what happens next.
