I was 19 year old the first time I moved out. I moved back home a year later, then moved in with an ex-boyfriend when I was 23, then moved back again. I'm about to move out again this weekend at the old age of 26, and this time will be for good.

23 - it was great living at home, I had a maid, a pool and a jacuzzi, paid only minimal contribution towards groceries etc, it was a bargain ! Bloody parents wanted to sell the house so I was hurled ungraciously out into the snow, forced to fend for myself.

My father died when I was five and I was 14 when my mother left home.
Lived with a couple older brothers until I was 17, then on my own ever since. When I was 33 my mother moved back in for a couple years.
My wife also has been on her own since about the same age.
Our kids moved in and out several times until their mid 20s.
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

Was 17 when I "left" home to go to USC (Socal) which at a distance of 42 miles was literally a stone's throw away from my house. I went home on the weekends anyway.
Left my house properly at the age of 21 to come here to the UK to study at Oxford. Who knows where I'll be next year, but fortunately or unfortunately, it certainly won't be 'home.'

I still live with my parents (am 19).
Will continue to live with them until I am out of college which I predict to be around 22 or 23 years of age. Then I plan to move out...hopefully.

Moved out at 18. My choice, not my parents. Lived alone for a year, then got a roommate.
Actually, the custom here is to live with the parents until one gets married or moves in with a boyfriend/girlfriend. However, I'm looking forward to move out and live on my own in the not-so-distant future.
