Im calling all grieving Arsenal fans.

What are we to do? Oh my I am hoping we can make it to 4th but im fearing that my blind optamism can not withstand being tested to the n'th degree for ever.

Please Thierry stay, Cashley your a low life but your talented and we need you.

Our fate is no longer in our own hands and im nervous that our remaining fixture list is going to hurt us badly especially building up the spurs game.

Im praying for man yoo to do us a favour. Although man u beat us yet loose to the likes of wolves etc. Let's hope their current form remains strong.

I know that people make mistakes but in the PL you shouldn't miss the chances Adebayor did. People make mistakes but not as many sitters as he did not at that level. It's quite simply not acceptable.

COME ON YOUR GUNNERS.

Poor finishing and defensive mistakes has cost us badly in the Premiership, totally in contrast to how we play in the Champions league. We are optimistic to think that we would have to win the CL to get back in Europe next season. But thats easier said than done, we simply HAVE to become more consistent in the league. I feel we need to win at least 4 out of our last 5 games to get that 4th spot, because i really don't want to cling onto our hopes of winning the champions league to qualify again. I'd much rather secure that 4th spot and then think about progressing in the CL.

defensive mistakes

I wouldn't blame our young defence for their mistakes, Flamini is the seventh choice left-back this season and Eboue has improved immensely.

As much as I'd like to think we'll get fourth spot, it's looking more and more doubtful. We simply couldn't afford to drop points at Old Trafford (still can't see Arsene's reasoning for resting Thierry there instead of at Pompey last night), although Tottenham still have Man Utd. and and Bolton to play. All we can do is not drop any more points, and hope that 'Spurs lose a few. Having said that, though, I think everyone is quietly confident about our chances in the Champions League.

We have to make the best of a bad job... we can still get 4th, but we have to win every one of the remaining fixtures. And hope Manu or Bolton beat Tottenham. Winning CL is a tall order. I think we can get past Villareal, but we cannot rely on beating Barca or ACM in the final. That is do-able, but we can't rely on it. If we fail to qualify, we will have to learn from that experience and build for next year. The youngsters all look good, but if TH14 does go, we will need to buy a striker as we can't afford to assume RVP, EA, Theo W etc will all progress enough to replace TH14 immediately.

What is most frustrating about this season, and is not often mentioned is that if a few people who are traditionally good for a few goals had scored more goals this season (Freddie, Robert, Jose Antonio) we would have been in the top three at least. If FL had scored 11 or 12 this season, RP had scored half a dozen more and JAR had scored 10, we would have been laughing.

Yes, he hopes Manure can beat Spurs.

If the Arse win the CL, it means the team that deserve to go by finishing 4th (hopefully Tottenham) will have to settle for UEFA Cup.

Now at the start of the season, if someone told me Spurs would be in the UEFA Cup next year, I'd have been delighted, but after holding on to 4th for so long, if we don't get into next years Champions League, I'll be very disappointed.

I'd be more than that, especially given the Liverpool farce this season

Yeah, but I don't like Everton, so I'd prefer to see Liverpool in it anyway!

Could be a storm in a teacup -- cos if Totten*** are as useful in the CL as Everton were this year, it will just be a waste of everyone's time

Don't drink coffee. Yuck.

Until the season is over, I will say nothing about league positions as it may well be me that eats my words......

However, at least Spurs aren't supported by Osama Bin Laden!!!!

Tottenham won't even make it past the qualifying round in the Champions League, whereas Arsenal have proved they can progress. Any neutral would want 4 English teams in the Champions League proper rather than 3.

I'm confident we can win the Champions League.

I'm not neutral.... I want Tottenham there.

Football is a funny game. You can't say for sure that Tottenham won't make it past the qualifying round. We will have to wait and see.

I know, but any neutral who is English would want 4 teams representing England rather than 3, which is what it would be if Tottenham got the place  Wink

I'm not really blaming them, it's just that individual mistakes has cost us points, plus the killer conviction to kill off games that we had has deserted us this season. "Pizzagate" also played it's part.
