For those in the US, there is a show called Deal or No Deal that is a new "fad" I guess. Anyone else watch it?
I'm sort of middle of the road. It's a dumb game from a contestant stand point. All you do is pick cases with hidden ammounts of money in them. It's a game of luck, and at least they are honest on the game itself and say it's all luck.
Howie Mandel makes it or breaks it. He at least adds something fun to the show.

Saw the SAME EPISODE multiple times on NBC in-flight on United from ORD-HNL. Semi-entertaining considering the circumstances...but I wouldn't watch it unless i'm bored as hell. Some of the family members are can also be incredibly irrational.

I watched it once when it first came on, I figured that it would probably go the way of Who Want's to be a Millionaire. That show was great for a while and then they overdid it and now its on weekdays at like 11:00am.

Quoting CastleIsland (Reply 5): As a part-time statistician, I like to see if people really understand their odds, or if they just go on gut feel.
It must bug you when they get down to a few cases and say "John, you have a whopping 66% chance of having at least 100k" or whatever, when in reality they still had no better than a 1 in 26 chance, it just so happened that they eliminated the cases in the right order for that to be the case

I watch it everytime it is on. I always laugh when someone is offered a bunch of cash, and then they get greedy and go for it, and end up with fifty bucks. Maybe I'm just cold, but I think its funny to watch them get greedy and lose their cash. Solid show though. Like I said, I watch it everytime it is on.

This show's been on TV here for a few years now - I believe the UK & US versions are based on the original OZ version - You can apply to be a contestant on the OZ version, but as stated on the website, you must be in Melbourne (the show is taped here)

It was alright at first, but it gets a bit boring after a while.
I nearly saw someone get the top prize (which is 250k GBP over here) she had that and the 3rd highest prize left (75k) and she no dealed a 125k offer, but in her box was the 75k. ....which was annoying because i would have seen it all then and wouldn't have to have watched it any more.

Quoting Ammunition (Reply 16): thats wierd, seems to be an error, in reply 15, its not quoting me.
What are you talking about Ammunition? It's you favorite program, you're absolutely addicted, in fact i wish you would stop talking about it, you're getting on our nerves and your weird Noel Edmunds fetish is bordering disturbing.

It's the best TV gameshow i've seen in years, very addictive. There are no obscure questions about Greek mythology or anything like that you get on WWTAM. It's a genuine game about luck and timing, no two shows are the same, that's what makes it interesting and different from other gameshows. Add a top drawer presenter like Noel Edmonds and you have some great entertainment. Yesterdays contestant went away with 1p, what a shame!
