Ever Had That Feeling Where It Feels Like No-one W

I've been contemplating posting this for just over a week now. I have decided that the time has come to do just that.

Y'see, on the 7th April, the last day of term before my holidays began, this girl and I were having a fight. Now this was mid-morning @ what we call 'break'. A rumour had started @ school a day or two earlier that I was having 'intimate’ relations with this girl there. Of course, the rumours were false and got mixed up on the Friday and this girl, who we shall call ‘E’, was told that I was threatening her friend, we shall call this one ‘R’, but I wasn‘t and @ the time, I didn‘t know about the rumour. Anyway, I got home and did my usual, logged on to the net, MSN messenger and finally www.airliners.net. I was just browsing the site’s database when an MSN window appears in-front of me. ‘E’ had contacted me and said,
“Jordan, were you threatening ‘R’ today?”, to which I replied,
“Of course not, she’s a friend”. This continued for a while and then this other girl whom I know from school (‘Tb’) opened the conversation window which I had left. We had a fight over MSN and I finally got fed up and blocked ‘E’ as she was telling me things like she was going to ‘kill’ me. I was talking to ‘Tb’ and she was telling me that ‘E’ was accusing me of sexually harassing her. Which I wasn’t guilty of, I mean, I had kissed her and things like that, but I had never gone overboard. After a 10 minute argue / conversation with ‘Tb’ I said something really stupid,
“Tb, I didn’t ask to be born you know”. I was shocked when she answered,
“Jordan, no-one did”. She then went on to tell me that my life was worthless and I should just kill myself. I was so upset that I logged out and disconnected from the internet in like a nano-second. I spent that whole Friday evening in my room crying and so upset that I was contemplating ending my life. I’m glad I haven’t however.  Smile I haven’t been back on MSN since then. Partly because I have been on holiday and the place where I was staying has internet, but no MSN.

For a long time now, I have felt like what the thread is all about, but Friday 7th April really kicked it off. I only have airliners.net now to confide in, and although no-one actually knows me, I feel like I am liked here. I have wanted to say this for a while but I could never pluck up the courage. Anyone who feels like saying “stop bitching” can just forget it because I ain’t interested, coz I am not a sympathy seeker. I just want to share this message with the people here. I really don’t know what to do and I am going back to school on the 24th, so I can’t really hide away for-ever. I look forward to hearing what other a.netters have to say about this and if they have been in a similar situation or felt the same way as I do just now. I do not wish this to turn into some sort of ‘You are a freak’ thread. Thank You for listening / reading. J

1. Rumors that you are having intimate relations with anybody are never a bad thing. Let them work their magic.

2. When anybody over the internet threatens to kill you, simply up the ante and tell them you look forward to it. Do a lot of reading into famous serial killers, learning what they did to their victims and such, formulate a list of how people were murdered and tell them to take their pick on what they want to do to you...of course make sure you make it be known which one is your favorite. Include a couple of graphics, bar graphs, or what have you, if possible.

3. Always tell the other person "they were a lousy kisser and you faked it the whole time."

Now let's not get too creepy here!!

Pawsley, I'm not going to say, "Stop Bitching", but more like, "chill out". Your a young bloke, and so are these friends of yours. You're still figuring out how relationships work and so are they. This won't be the last time that you cop a spray from a young lady. Try and take the high ground and think rationally as to why these people would react in such a way.

And another thing, if you're having a "difficult" discussion, try and have it over the phone or face to face.

I have to agree with all of the above. Time is a wonderful thing and in time you will look back at this time and wonder why it actually bothered you so much what others thought or said.

Good luck.

It's nothing to do with being creepy dear, it's all about learning how to be in control of a situation by instilling fear and wrath into your audience. it's a really ideal trait if he wants to grow up to become a priest.

I look forward to hearing what other a.netters have to say about this

This is exactly why The Hormones changed her e-mail address, changed her phone number, left school and went to Uni a year early!!

There are some sick buggers in this world and they are mostly teenage girls I'm afraid.

You are being bullied, you do not need "friends" like this!

The emotional power play between teenage girls is very complex, it is no place for a young man to get entangled, stay out of this little world of "We're friends/enemies/friends/enemies/friends, it will do your head in, they have no control over their emotions and feelings, they need to experience power and you need to keep your head down!

My advice is to take this perspective:

You are not as bad as them, this makes you better than them.

You are upset by all this, this is because you are sensitive, this makes you better than them.

All things come to pass and so it did with The Hormones, the evil ones who made her life a misery now have no friends and their parents (who encouraged this behaviour..even joined in) are now shunned by the entire village. The Hormones survived, she had no friends for a while but she stayed away from everybody and got on with her own thing (finding a boyf!) and is over it.

No matter how bad life is, being dead is worse, take it from an old hand and a parent that the philosophy that gets you through life's patches of shite is this:

Time heals everything.

You'll be fine, just stay away from these dreadful girls and learn to be self sufficient emotionally, once you have that, your life will improve, plenty of time to get over it.

MSN, cellphones etc are bad things for young people to have access to when they don't have the maturity to use them, most of these people wouldn't have the guts to say their shit to your face.

Chin up old bean, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life!  Smile  Smile

And the world won't end if you stay off MSN for a week or three  Wink

I have been in a similar situation at my last uni. Got in a big fight with one of my best friends from highschool (a girl) because of some rumours that started going around (of course I was the last person to know about it, thats how it works). We were never involved and all of a sudden I had to deal with her, her friends and her boyfriend, and let me tell you it was not pleasant.

There is no room in your life for people that can just erase what they know about you, if they trust your word or not etc. because of rumours that escalate everytime someone repeats them. Needless to say I haven't had the same relationship with that girl ever since. Out of the whole story I ended up being the loser (both emotionally and economically) and after a few weeks, she was acting like nothing had happened and didn't even care to appoligise for all the stress and psychological mess she had caused. Girls are like that sometimes and my advice would be to just forget about it and her, she does not deserve any more of your attention.

checkmark  It is indeed. I was a young girl in school once and it wasn't always joyful. They play weird mind games.

Just ignore it. I know it's hard, especially when you feel like the world is against you. But things will get better, I promise. I had some hard times with people being downright mean to me in 3rd grade (I have no idea what prompted it, which shows how random school politics can be) but eventually we moved on to 4th grade and I was the belle of the ball.

Well let me start out with a couple things.

I think my friend Lewis is right to start it off. I can see he knows what hes talking about.

Secondly, your pretty young so you really should not stress to begin with about what other people think. There are bigger fish to fry in this world than to worry about a bunch of idiot teenage morons who have nothing better to do.

I can only relate to the USA, because thats the only place I have been to school outside of Poland.

Everyone deals with this in their own way, when I was in 7-8th grade and in High School (in the USA) and someone always had the smart idea of calling me a dumb Polak (this was usually a white american guy wearing A&F or Hollister) or whatever not I dealt with it like I dealt with problems in school back in Warsaw. I met him after class, put him in a headlock and I told him outright I would beat the living hell out him if he ever used any kind of xenophobic slur in class ever again to bring me down or anyone else that was foreign. I would beat him down mercilessly. It got me into trouble in high school quite often but my dad always approved of what I was doing and told the administration to basically go screw themselves for not punishing these idiots. Peer-mediation btw in America is the largest piece of garbage ive ever seen.

To me respect was important in school, but I was not interested in respect from the masses of idiots that roam high schools all over the world, I was interested in respect from people who had goals, good grades, and couldnt deal with some of the problems they were facing from these en masse Abercrombie wearing douchebags who could not point out Milan on a map. These are the worst kind of people at the least in American high schools, they are usually well off, stupid as hell, waste money and will make fun of a Indian kid because he can do math 20x better than them.

I had the pleasure of playing on a football (soccer) team in high school here starting sophomore year (which is 2nd year of secondary school for you). The coach didnt like me and my Croatian friend domi much and he put us on the B team even though me and him could have outplayed his team back and forth. The coach's son kept yelling at us "Whats wrong Europeans, cant make it in your own sport?" in the beginning of one scrimage. The next play, coachs son was dribbling the ball next to the sideline right by his dad. My friend Domi went diving for the ball and litteraly hammerd his son with his shoulder right onto the ground next to his dad, he then crossed to me for a nice headder. Well long sotry short my friend Domi comes up to the coach with the kid still laying there grabbing his shin and wincing and says "Next time, I will make your sons medical insurance to use."

Am I condoning physical violence? no. I am condoning that you should never give into whats popular and what you dont like just because its popular. Guys at your age think its the world to be cool and go with the crowd and pleases them. If you have to fight even physically against someone because they are pressuring you when you say no, I say do it. This pressure is so much greater in America due to TV, ignorance of other nations etc etc.

I say you do what you think is right. If you have screwed up, then take the criticism, but if you have not screwed up...show them the middle finger and move on mate.
