Hi guys & Gals.
From Chris ........
First off, both Phyllis & I are "VERY EXCITED" about our upcoming spotting adventure & dinner, etc, next weekend. We're looking forward to meeting everybody and having a great time. Whooo Hoooooo!!!
We have one last "Very Important" task to take care of regarding our dinner at the Steak House. I'm required to give the banquet manager a "Guarantee Number" for the amount of guests that will be attending for dinner. This is the final part of my contract with him.
So, in other words, I need to tell him that a certain number of people are "guaranteed" to show up for dinner, thus allowing him to arrange for the proper amount of staff members he will require to serve us.
We need to have a minimum of 25 persons attend for dinner, otherwise I need to pay $200.00 for the room (which means my $200.00 depost is gone! ). I don't see a problem with us reaching the 25 person minimum limit for the banquet room, so now I / we just need to provide the banquet manager with a reasonable "Guaranteed" number.
I'm planning on giving the manager a Guarantee number of 31 , based on the cool chart that Jason has created for us. If the attendance is below this number (31), I may have to incurr the cost of these dinners (hey they're running a business, but trust me, if I need to pay for the dinners of people who don't show up, then those dinners will still be getting cooked ..... and I'll be taking them home!!! )
Another reason for the gurantee number (this is more import to the manager), is that if I tell him there will be 31 guests for dinner .... and 45 guests show up, he won't have the staff ready for this surprised attack & increase of hungry a.neters at his restaurant, and this will cause the cooking and serving process to slow down a bit.
Trust me, the manager is a cool guy, and all he wants is for us to have a great time at his steak house .... but he also wants to make sure he's ready to provide us with the best dinner service possible so that everone's food is served "nice & hot" at the same time.
So, do you guys & gals feel that the number 31 is a safe "guarantee number" to give the manager? Please post here to let myself & Phyllis know of any change in plans for the number of dinner guests on the list.
>> The manager needs our final guarantee number by tommorow (April 23, 06). <<
Here are the 31 people on Jason's Dinner Guests list. Please point out any changes, or mistakes I've made by posting a reply. If you are on the list but should not be .... let us know! If you are not on the list and should be .... give us a shout!
Boeingfanyyz x 2
Skidmarks x 2
WhyWhyZed x 3
Please note that the steak house will be more than happy to serve any extra dinner guests then the number of people who are currently confimed.

Quoting Skidmarks (Reply 5): I trust my companion will be able to get her fish as requested?
>> Skidmarks, Yes Sir. She has been taken care of. The manager was glad to add her dinner request to the kitchen's menu. Her Fresh Filet of Atlantic Salmon is swimming around out there somewhere as we speak!
>> Regarding the "Help Feed A WhyWHYZed For An Evening Food Bank", well I can donate a coupon for one Free "Wild Onion Rose" appetizer (Delightfully perfect, a full Spanish onion, deep fried, golden crisp, served with a special house dressing). The only catch is that a main course dinner needs to be purchased first .... before it can be used! So the donation of this coupon may be an act in vain!

I'll be there for sure.......as for jasons handouts, well......count me in for 25% of his bill. I'm in a good mood, it'd be a shame for him to not attend the dinner and i wanna make everyone else look bad!
opps, i forgot to add.......im willing to go to 25% of $100! haha I dont want to see a bill that could feed the five thousand!

Nuno, but you missed the rest of the quote... the true part. "A hungry WhyWhyZed is a sad thing." Instead you quoted a lie by saying "WhyWhyZed is a sad thing" because he's not a sad thing. In fact, he's the coolest one attending the meet.
Quoting Vaporlock (Reply 4): My donation will be the Vegtables that come with my meal....LMAO...oh, and he can also have free bread and butter!!!
Mmmm. Bread and butter. As I read that, it had out beat..."A waffer thin slice of my steak (so thin you can see through it)"...for most anticipated. hehhehe.
Quoting YooYoo (Reply 7): As for the food fund. Count me in for a couple of fries and and a spoon full of salad dressing.
...and what if I don't get a salad?

Ohhh JACKPOT!! $$$ ... I think i'll be hanging around you the entire meet. LOL.
I would also like to thank everyone else for their contributions, and I look forward to doing business with all of you.

Long-term, the weather doesn't look too promising. However, a good time shall be had regardless, so let's hope people don't chicken out as a result. Remembers folks, this is more about the social aspect than who can get the best or most pics uploaded!
