I just got back from the doctor's office for a physical, and I had a pretty uincomfortable situation "arise". It was done by a female, rather attractive, and, well, when she started to feel my stomach, thighs, pelvic region, I got an erection...a full, rigid hard on. When I was 16 [ a long time ago now] I went for a job medical with BOAC, and after all the normal things was asked to undress and lie on the bed behind a curtain. True...but it still was pretty embarrassing...it wouldn't go down either and when she started to touch my balls I think it got even harder. I was pretty horny anyway I guess...I think it's a good idea, if you're a guy, to masturbate before you get a physical to avoid situations like this.
