This is my 1000th post.
Who knew I could find such bliss on an airliners website arguing over topics such as offensive maps of France; the ineffectivess of the Canadian judicial and/or parliamentary systems; my hatred for Corollas and their drivers; or the popularity of backyard pools in residential areas near Montreal airports? These forums, while largely full of garbage (like many of you will find this post), can be awesome venues for wonderful debates on politics, social issues, religion, underwear and of course sex. Posting can be therapeutic after a long day’s work if you need to vent, laugh or just think about something mindless. Be careful though, a.net can be addictive. Always remember to focus your efforts on-life, not on-line.
It’s not the earth-shattering dissertations in the forums that keep me here, nor is it the awesome photos. It’s the people … which admittedly was a pleasant surprise. Usernames on my screen have evolved into acquaintances, friends, and even a handful of very close friends whom I’ve grown to care a great deal about. People like Kevin, Nuno, Jason, Tui, Cameron and even you Lenny --- I’m really glad to have met you. There are of course more, and hopefully those friendships will grow too.
Since I’m feeling a bit sappy, I thought I’d give a few more “shout-outs”:
The retired crowd: Canadi>nBoy, AWspicious, Logan22L, AC777LR (Gone but not forgotten).
The semi-retired crowd: FlyAUA, Concord977, Kylelosangeles (Come back already would ya!)

The Wanna-be YYZ crowd: FLYYUL, MiCorazonAzul, Emirates345, Kroc, LHMark (and possibly Nancy).
This year’s winner of the Miss A.Net Penal Pageant: Concordeboy (I could have killed you when you posted “that” thread, (you know the one I mean), but in the end, that was a really nice thing you did, and I never said thank you. I hope your parole comes up soon!)
You’ve all been great, and I thought I’d spend my 1000th post telling you so.
