Quoting KROC (Reply 1): I don't start following the playoffs until mid-June, when they only have a couple weeks left.
Quoting AirCop (Reply 2): My god, what it take a month to play the first round
I thought the old best-of-5 first round series worked just fine. I guess they figured best of 7... more possible revenue.
I think the Finals should be best of 7, MAYBE the conference finals too. But as far as the other rounds, I don't think the best-of-5 format would be bad at all. You figure maybe less revenue than a 7 game series, but with fewer games, you'd think the intensity level of the games would pick up dramatically.

From the West I predict either Clippers or Spurs. The Lakers have got such a hard schedule, the Suns and next if they win, the Spurs. There is no way that they will win against the Spurs, no way. The other players don't have the experience, and Lamar is hit or miss. It's going to take a miracle for the Lakers to win the West.
Where are the Cavs going? Guessing summer break soon. (With Detroit in the second round)
Not necessarily. They first have to win at least 1 in DC this week, and force a game 5 in C-town next week. And, if Indiana would upend New Jersey, the Pacers would face Detroit in round 2, and the Cavaliers would face the Heat. I like the Cavs chances against the Heat better than the Pistons.

I don't see anyone beating the Spurs. They will repeat. I can't believe it took two years for freaking Brent Barry to make a contribution but he did bail us out with that wierd ass 3 pointer last night.
