I know it was mentioned a couple of weeks ago, but those are the days of the Alaska Airman's Association Trade Show. This is an annual event that I have attended the past couple of years and enjoyed throughly.
It is at the Fed-Ex Hanger and addmision is free.

Damnit, I don't get back from work until the 8th . . .
My Mondays are Thursdays . . .
Call the Association and demand it be changed . . .
Seriously, I'll be in on the 2:30pm crew change flight on the 8th. Bummer, I missed it last year also.
As an aside, there's a A-netter coming from France on 5/13 . . . arriving on UA sometime mid-afternoon. If you're interested, fellow Alaska A-netters, drop me an IM and as I learn the arrival time for sure I'll let you know . . . RPilliard is his screen name.

I'll be there too this year, altho I haven't decided which day it will be. First time I attended was just last year, and I really did enjoyed the event. Looking forward to meeting some A.netters there. Regards.

I'll most likely be there. I noticed there was a huge banner hanging on the fence by the FedEx hanger this weekend when I drove past. What exactly does it involve? I've never been before or really heard much about it.

Two rules in aviation, don't hit anything and don't run out of gas, cause if you run out of gas yer gonna hit something.

Lot of booths selling stuff for pilots and homebuilders. Usually a pretty decent static display outside.
Also trade schools, FAA, DOT, CAP, UAA, UAF all have the stands too.

Dinker225, last year there was FedEx F-27 & MD-11 on display, along with ANG C-130, FAA's C-47, a privately owned HU-16, C-117, an Everts C-46, some helicopters and lots of GA aircraft. Plus all the vendors that L-188 mentioned above. It's indeed worth a daytrip there. Hope to meet ya there. Regards.
