Rhaaaa, I just looked at my bank account, and it's as full as a college campus on a sunday morning. Couple more days and the big big bucks roll in (haha I wish)
Who else tends to be broke after around the 25th?

Spent a months paycheck on a brand new computer today. Excluding some standard expenses, I have about £50 to spend on food and petrol the next 3 weeks...
(Not that I'll need much petrol once the computer arrives... hehe)

Nope.
My dear old granny once said to me that once you get to the stage of having 6 months wages left in the bank at the end of every month you'll never need to worry about money.
Never has a more true phrase been spoken!

Not me - I got paid today
But then as I'm saving money I have rather a lot ('a lot' for someone on my wage, anyway!).

Its also payday for me... in fact my paycheck posted to my checking account sometime in the wee hours of the morning.
Generally haven't had that problem since I was in school. Now with a regular decent sized wage and living somewhat on the cheap I find myself w/ a nice cash reserve. Which doesn't mean I am buying drinking tomorrow when the YYZers go out to Queens Quay.

SSP for me is £68.30
Disability Allowance.. £40.80
I can only have one of the above.. so SSP was the obvious choice, but its not really concentive when i have a £450p/m mortgage and 3 kids to look after, and with my partner only working part-time.. And im due to be off work for another 8 months.

More like around the 15th!
Amateurs. I'll receive my paycheck later today, and I already made a list of all the payments due... which leaves me with barely enough money for transportation and food (taking into consideration that I bring my lunch at least 2 days a week).
Unlike my previous jobs, however, here I get paid every two weeks... not that bad after all.

Getting this thread away from the hijacking, not broke, as I get paid weekly. I know what it's like to have to pay for things with loose change. Was there quite a bit when I was paid biweekly (used to always seem to have most of the check spent by the end of the first week). Even after paying my bills ($200 a week goes towards paying my bills) and putting some money back (about $125 a week), I still have enough money to operate on for the week (About $90). I put some money back just in case of an emergency (You never know when you might need to put the car in the shop or get sick).
