Today is the final game of the German football cup, a bit earlier this year because of the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Bayern Munich is playing vs. Eintracht Frankfurt in the Olympiastadium of Berlin tonight at 8. My money is of course on Bayern but it is not impossible that Frankfurt wins the game, you probably know the old saying: "Der Pokal hat seine eigenen Gesetze" ("The cup has its own laws"), meaning that not always the favourite wins like it is mostly the case in Bundesliga games.

Lets see your predictions! Will Bayern or Frankfurt win? How will Oliver Kahn do tonight?

Patrick

PS: Fellow A.net member DTManiac travelled to Berlin today to watch the game in the staduim, I hope we get a nice report from him tomorrow.

Well with the ladies, Potsdam won 2-0.

As for the men, I don't care who wins, as long as it's not Bayern  bigthumbsup

I second that. I will be pissed off if the match sucks! I decided to stay at home and watch the game instead of going out this evening (ah well, die Nacht ist jung Big grin)

This game unfotunately showed once again, how bad the niveau of the Bundesliga is today. Once again a dull, boring game...

This football certainly is not attractive to watch...

I agree with you, there were a few good scenes but the rest was more or less "gegurke". This game looked like a 2nd league match compared to the (for example) Barca vs. Milan game from Wednesday.

Be it the English Premier League, the Spanish Primera Division, or the Italian Serie A, they are playing a more attractive football than the Bundesliga teams.

Like the commentator said, Bayern may be 'top' in the Bundesliga, but 'mittelmaß' in Europe.

I hope it will be worse than Mittelmaß for the FCB in the Bundesliga and in Europe. There's still one chance to prevent that the FCB goes further to the top, which is successfully preventing that they win the Salatschüssel in the Bundesliga. However, it seems like Werder Bremen and the HSV are slacking off a lot recently, not doing their job of stopping this FCB Monopoly.

Somebody take the FCB's licence away, so they are no longer in the Bundesliga.
