Being in the hotel industry, I would suggest that you call the hotel
directly to see if your reservation is in their PMS computer, or at
least call a central reservations number if it is part of a hotel chain.
Then, and here's the important part, have them tell you the confirmation
number that they have for your reservation, because the one that
Orbitz issues is generally not the one the hotel uses.
Now for backup, once you have that confirmation number, try to see
if the hotel/brand has a website. Go to that website and see if you
can pull up a reservation with just the last name and the confirmation
number. If yes, then do it and print-out the details of the reservation.
Remember to take that stuff wih you to show as evidence.
