Agree/disagree?

I personally agree, or I probably would not have written the topic that way.

You know, this is a serious charge you are making...  Big grin

Actually, I don't really care for carts-- I usually just walk the bag. Much better exercize. But at nicer courses I'll gladly take the cart.

Electric, Gas or both? I think golf carts are not evil, only misunderstood.

Misunderstood is a good term. Yes, misunderstood they are. Not inherently evil at all.

Yes, I prefer to walk to. It preserves the beauty of the game...

But then again, if a cart is your thing...

On a nice day, when a lot of people want to play, golf carts expidite the process. Don't forget, you're not alone out there. don't be selfish.

Actually, if you play well, you'll play faster walking than someone who plays poorly with a cart.

Anyone been to discovery bay, hong kong?

It is a private township and they use golf carts instead of cars!! They have a bus to the airport (it being on Lantau) and a regular and fast boat service to central!! great place!

They're only evil if they run out of juice on the 14th hole.

Evil? On the contrary. How else would you be able to carry a cooler of beer 18 holes?

One day, I was riding my motorbike (in a normal speed) in a public road between two golf courses, and one of these carts, was crossing the road without seeing i was coming through. I had to push the brakes so hardly, but it seemed to be my fault, because the "driver", told me something very loudly (i didn't understand what).

so i agree...

Miquel.

I can take them on the golf course, especially on 115 degree summer days here in AZ. However, there are areas here in Phoenix with a lot of retirees (like Sun City) that the bluehairs buy their own and actually take them out on the streets. That is evil. (They actually have small garages on their homes for them. Like the rest of their home, it smells like mothballs and piss)

Living in Glendale, I can agree with you there JTB106, those retirees always drving their golf carts around the major streets blocking traffic. One day one of the senior citizens actually flipped their golf cart and got pinned underneath it! how, i dont know. Strange people they are.

Man i love golf carts! I work at Troon golf and country club in Scottsdale, and I have mastered the art to rednecking the hell out of those things. When all the tricks have been perfected the golf cart can be a hell of a load of fun!

Cheers!
Brian

KaiTakFan-
Small world...
While I'm in school again, I'm working part time at Troon Golf's reservation center. Not the country club, but the worldwide golf management company. Some folks here work at Estancia (spelling?) and some of the other local clubs and I'm sure we know some of the same folks. Just funny to see the word "Troon" in the forum!

Carts are fun! I golf A LOT and we have to take this dirt road full of pot holes to the student range. The potholes are a few feet wide and some are over half a foot deep, plus they're full of mud! FUN!

Hey, if ya'll wanna use a cart, that's fine. I'll be happy to let you play through if you are faster than me. But for me, I'll walk. I'm into tranquility, and searching for my place in "The Field."
