I thought I would let you know that I will be going on vacation for the next week to Playa del Carmen, just south of Cancun. And yes, I am bragging a little bit.
But what has me excited is that this is the first trip my 3.5 year old son will remember as an airplane trip. He seems to be getting really excited about it. His airplane obsession is also starting to blossom. He walked into a store the other day and wanted to walk out with an $80 model airplane. I said no, with difficulty. He also asks to visit the airport at least twice a week.
But the best part, I showed him internet videos of St. Maarten. He was soooo happy to see that, but I had to explain to him that it wasnt Cancun!
I am feeling like such a good father...I'm sorry...tears of happiness...cant talk.
I will let you know if a future a.netter has been created on this trip.

All right guys, now I'm off to bed to get ready for a god-awful early morning flight. Plus I get the feeling I'll be doing some swimming tomorrow late afternoon. I'll think about all you left behind.
Jr. is looking forward to this trip. Yes, he does make the appropriate noises with his hand airplane. And now every aiplane going overhead is on its way to Cancun. Plus I placed my aviation museum cap in the bag and he started to say that he wanted to go to the airplane museum!
I might just be able to drop a little line later tomorrow, the busy life has us doing a little work on vacation, and let you know if Andes Jr. has become a future a.netter.
BTW, ANCflyer, we watched the polar express movie (his favorite) today and it shows the northern lights, so I might get an Alaska trip planned for the near future.

I got my 3 year old nephew into it, aviation i mean. My sister hates me for it.
He will run to the window each time a plane or chopper flies over. Not good then that they live in between two Airfields RAF Barkston Heath, and RAF Cranwell, so thats not only small single engine trainers, and Domanie prop planes, there also close to RAF Waddington with the Nimrod and AWAC 707's and RAF Scampton with the good old Red Arrows. With all this hes running to the window alot
After the sun starts staying out 24/7 - as it has been for three weeks now - no more darkness at night and no more northern lights . . . they are still there, you just can't see them cause it's still daylight! February and March - good chance . . . May?
