Yes, 1 year and a half ago. Almost died. Hospital for a week. Got sideswiped, car starts to go 'round in circles until it hits two lamposts. and brings them down. One lampost penetrated the driver compartment (me) 3 inches forward of my left forehead. Fortunately only broke my arm (that lampost)

Yep, last August. Traffic was slowing on the motorway for some reason, so obviously we slowed too. The lorry behind us didn't slow down at all... It hurt.

Running over your favourite cap does not constitute a road traffic accident!

Last year in France. I was driving along one of those winding roads above Monaco when some italian swerved onto the wrong side of the road (in my direction), I had to swerve and hit a road-side barrier. It wrote off the car, luckily I wasn't injured.

Lemme see....5 times have I been in a Car Accident big enough to call the cops.

Once in Seattle, with a friend driving. There's an onramp that merges onto a sidestreet, and the sidestreet can merge onto the onramp to turn left and vice versa. Someone turning left hit us as we needed to turn right---their fault. Quite a bit of damage.

Once in Salt Lake when my dad was driving, rear-ended as he decided to make a turn he wasn't planning, about $2500 in damage to his car.

Again in Salt Lake, years ago, when my mom was driving got hit in the side by someone coming out of an OfficeMax parking lot.

Once in Halifax, no-fault at a rotary, about $2000 in damage

The second worst one, I was turning left and a car came out of a 7-11 parking lot turning left onto oncoming traffic over a median at a high rate of speed---I was a new driver and didn't see him. It was my fault but my ticket was reduced to $30 under the circumstances and taken off my record. It was my mom's brand new car and got about $6000 in damage, his old truck was hit enough to charge my insurance $500.

Not to mention a couple other little hits and dings.

I take it that's as much excitement as you can get at the moment while you are incapacitated  Wink

As for the worst accident I've ever been in, it would have to be with a German ex-girlfriend as she drove me through East Berlin at breakneck speed in a bright orange Mk1 VW Polo. Fortunately I was able to adopt the brace position seconds before we cannoned off a Mercedes.

I saw that part of the accident coming - the tram that removed the back of the car I didn't see however  scared   fight

Twice, both times I was in the back seat of a car driven by my father and someone else didn't know it was his turn to wait. The first time, I was a toddler and the second time I was in 4th or 5th grade. No injuries, cars were repaired both times.

Once. You know how we always say, "Airplanes won't kill you.... but getting to and from the airport is dangerous"? Got slammed big time leaving an airport by the car rental kid..... the little f***** . He had decided to cut around me while I was making a turn. If I hadn't sensed him just before and deflected my wheel just a tad it could have been a career ending event. It really knocked my son and me silly.... but walked away from it... to be pissed off another day.
