If you were deer hunting and you came across a buck with more than 20 points, would you shoot? Or would you let him go out of respect for him for living so long?

Turdy point buck?

well he was eight foot tall, weighed twelve thousand pounds, with every step there was a shakin' on the ground
he was so rutiful so beautiful
strutted right out of my dreams, he was created by God just for outdoor magazines
now i'm not much for thinkin, no i don't do it often
but i had an idea
to put that turdy pointer in his coffin

It would be a mistaken kindness to allow it to live. When they get that many points they can no longer walk through the brush and trees forward because the antlers hang up on things. This puts them in the position of having to back around the woods. Not only is it terribly embarassing for them but it is unsanitary (they have to back through a puddle of water in order to get their mouth near it) and it is dangerous - they are forever getting branches poked .... well, you get the idea!

Besides they are delicious. Better than spotted owl on a bed of redwood shoots in my opinion.
