Is anybody here a fan of Futurama - the animated TV series based in the Year 3000? I am a great fan and own all the DVD's but have never found anybody else who shares my enjoyment of the program. Its fairly stupid some times but entertaining none the less.

Yeah, I like it. Never watch it though, but I do enjoy it if I happen to see it.

I try to catch it on [adult swim] on Cartoon Network or on Too Funny To Sleep on TBS when I can. I've seen every episode several times, but it doesn't seem to get old for me.  thumbsup

I've seen so many reruns that it's not enjoyable anymore.

It's an excellent series.
Is there a DVD with all the episodes out?

I've heard that a new season is in development. That would be season #5.

Futurama is in my opinion the best animated series ever made and will ever be made for a few more decades. I have the special box set on DVD which is just the regular 4 box sets packaged in a bigger box but hey it was cheaper than buying all 4 serieses seperatly.

I can't believe Fox cancelled it yet continue to churn out tripe (althogh we do get fairly well shielded from it on this side of the pond).

I am glad to hear that they are finally going ahead with the DVD movie which should be due out in 2007, but thats not the same as the series continuing but at least it ended well.

I can't believe you said that! but I respect your opinion  Smile

Well I also think South Park is great, especially the anti Family Guy eps - although I used to watch it for a few weeks but lost intrest (for pretty much the same things south park mocked about it).

Don't worry. Family Guy will retaliate, and I look forward to it!  Smile

I think Futurama is ok. Not the best show ever created....but ok. A return would be fun to see. Sort of like Family Guy just did.

You're missing the key word: cheap tripe. Futurama was expensive to make.

An interesting statistic would be to poll those who liked/disliked Futurama and poll those who like/dislike Married With Children and see if there is any correlation.

I for one am a great fan of Married with Children

I believe Family Guy became more popular after it was cancelled!! Maybe FOX is trying to draw from that well twice.

Love Futurama and The Simpsons equally.

Fry's my favorite, with Bender a close second...
