Finally!!! The Israeli National team will play the Austrian National team in soccer on Saturday night, after delaying the games about 300 times:
Scheduled: October 7, 2001
Actual: October 27, 2001
Atfirst, the game was delayed because of the 9/11 attacks.
Then, the game was delayed due to the US striking Afghanistan.
After that, the Austrian Football Association wanted to move the game to Sunday, the 28th of October because "we want to be able to eat fresh steaks on Saturday, and not steaks made on Friday, as it is in Kosher rules at their hotel". Can anyone say excuses, excuses!

Sounds like really bad excuses.
All jews can have Kosher food in Austria - or here in Denmark. Any time. Not at any hotel at choise, but then you go and find the place.
Same way the Austian soccer team can of course have freshly fried pork slices with parsley sause on a sabbath in Israel, if that's what they want. Not at any hotel, but then they go and find the place.
Austria and Israel (and Denmark) have different cultures, but since they are all populated by civilized people, then they of course all respect the cultures of their guests.
It is no more complicated than that.
