There are reports on TV news that police have a subpoena to search a location near Detroit, Michigan on the claim that it may be the burial site of the long missing (over 30 years) and persumed dead former National Teamster Union leader Jimmy Hoffa. He went missing after going to a resturant one day. There have long been allegations of organized criminals - the Mafia - called for his murder for screwing them in various deals.
Jimmy Hoffa invested a lot of Union funds in Las Vegas and other places where the mob was involved. He had be chased after by the Government back in the early 1960's for various alleged crimes. Hoffa's son later served as head of the Teamsters union.
There have been many rumors of the alleged location of the body of Jimmy Hoffa, with somewhere under the turf of Giant's Stadium in New Jersey being the most popular. I do hope that this is his body and something can be determined from it to figure out whom did kill him and try them.

Quoting Jetjack74 (Reply 9): They also speculated a few months ago, that he was buried under a basement in Royal Oak, MI outside of Detroit
This one makes the most sense. He disappeared from Machus Red Fox restaurant in Birmingham, which is only a few miles up the road. Even if they do prove who did it, who are they going to prosecute? All the (alleged) capos from the Detroit families are dead now.
Besides, everyone knows he's in the Detroit River!
well i saw this episode, they scanned the field with a Radar, ill quote from Wikipedia: "Recently, the Discovery Channel show MythBusters arranged to have locations in the Giants Stadium scanned with a ground-penetrating radar to see if any evidence of buried human remains were found. No traces were found."

Not trying to bump an old thread, but there's been a new development. Investigators are tearing apart a barn in Troy, MI once owned by a former associate of Jimmy Hoffa. Nothing found yet. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12957019/
