If you don't want to find out who won the Amazing Race 9, please stop reading!
Well, first off i'd like to say Congratulations to the Hippies. I really think they deserve and i'm quite pleased with the results. I think they deserved it because they were funny as hell, and that they were in the race to enjoy themselves, and not just for the money. Before the series even began, from just reading the biographys on the website, I was rooting for BJ and Tyler.
What did everyone else think of this series? ...and it's results?

This was the first time that the team I was rooting for from the outset won the race. They ran a great race, and had a lot of fun doing it.
This race was fairly predictable in that the three strongest teams were easy to pick off from day 1, and those three teams generally stayed towards the front the entire race. The other eight teams were clearly overmatched.

I'm not so sure about that one. Clearly the Frat Boys and the Hippies were the grop leaders from the outset, but I think Ray & Yolanda were not one of the strongest teams. They continually struggled with basic navigation, cultural understanding, and fighting with each other. I was surprised to see them last as long as they did.
I thought MoJo was one of the strongest teams until they turned all nasty, and then it was time for them to go.
Even though I knew they'd never win and they aggravated me constantly, part of me kind of liked Fran & Barry.
The Puerto Ricans were a pretty good team too. Well the hot daughter at least, her Mom was a pain in the ass.

Not only was I happy with the outcome, I think the task at the end of this season was probably the best ever. With the possibility for everyone getting bunched up again, this task gave the edge to those who were observant during the race, not just who got lucky getting a cab the fastest somewhere, or who could eat pizza the quickest.
I would have really been pissed if the Frat Boys had won, after the taxi stunt they pulled in Australia (although the nipple rings were cute ).

I agree 100 percent with that idea. That was a pretty good mental challenge. The frat boys were only off by two and still mamaged to lose. It is more challenging than a taxi ride.

I was happy with the outcome. I mean the hippies were pretty damn corny, but that's what made them funny. I actually kinda wanted to see Ray and Yolanda win just because it would have been a nice twist, but oh well. Also I felt really bad for Fran and Barry getting booted off because Fran was battling breast cancer at a point in her life and I give her credit for taking on the challange. Now it's time for AR10!
