In Nassau County, New York a local government department that fights against drunk driving has purchased 100 urnals which upon use, play a pre-recorded message to discourage drunk driving. Nassau County has a high rate of drunk driving accidents so I guess that they want to do what they can to cut that rate. Iminage you taking a wee-wee in you local bar/pub and you get this message, you may get scared and pee on your shoes... Besides if your drunk already, you probably wouldn't really be able to listen to the message anyway.

All sorts of things talk at me when I'm drunk. I don't think I'd notice yet another open mouth.

Or you might start a fight with it and end up in the slammer anyway.

Talking urinals don't surprise me too much. I mean, Walt Disney World has had talking trashcans for years now.

You know, I see a rather disturbing trend of talking waste recepticles here. I can't wait for the trash compactor--that thing'll sound like a junior-high bully.  biggrin
