What's your favourite heavy metal band?
I would have to say Rammstein, and my favourite heavy metal music video and song is "Sonne" by Rammstein. Another good song by Rammstein is Dalai Lama.

Hmm, so many eras to make a choice from: The early stuff from the 70s, the hair bands from the 80s, the newer-age stuff from the 90s and 00s...
I think all things considered, I'm gonna have to go with Sevendust. Out of hundreds, if not thousands of bands to choose from, their music impacts me like none other: It has such power, emotion, and in-your-face determination like I've never seen. It's one of the few bands whose music you can really feel deep down inside...And it's a great feeling.
So which song of theirs is a culmination of all these facets together as one? Without a doubt, it's "Enemy":
And I'm sure you won't be disappointed...

Choosing one is incredibly hard, currently I would have to say the bands are;
After Forever,
Tristania,
Edenbridge,
and for the rest see my profile
Song wise it would currently be either "Equilibrium" or "Endogenesis", both by Tristania and from their album "Ashes". The vidio to Equilibrium is great.
I agree. Too many great songs to choose from, their best video IMO is Feuer Frei. BTW, do you know if they ever released a video for the song LOS, on the REISE REISE album?
thanks

As far as I am aware of, there is no music video for that song. Reise Reise by the way is my favourite Rammstein album I haven't seen the Feuer Frei video so I am going to download it and see it. I also really like the music video for "Amerika"
So do you like the "sonne" music video?

My current songs I don't stop listening to...
Nothing Remains - Chimaira
Everything You Love - Chimaira
Pray For All - Chimaira
Beyond This Life - Dream Theater
War Inside My Head - Dream Theater
Ruin - Lamb Of God
Now You've Got Something To Die For - Lamb Of God
Ashes Of The Wake - Lamb Of God
Crawl Through Knives - In Flames
Wipe The Tears - Machine Head
Bite The Bullet - Machine Head
Message In Blood - Pantera
Annihilation By The Hands Of God - Roadrunner United
Dying In Your Arms - Trivium
Pillars Of Serpent - Trivium
Those are all my favourite songs at the moment, feel free to contact me if you want any of these tracks!
Good call. I'm partial to Stone Dead Forever myself.
Other metal songs I like, I tend to stick to classics:
-Pantera, "Domination"
-Metallica, "Orion" (anything off Puppets, really)
-Hatebreed, "Facing what consumes you" and all of Preserverance and Rise of Brutality.
-Slayer, "South of Heaven"
-Dream Theater, "Trial of Tears" (the whole Falling into Infinity album is alright in my book)
-Sepultura: "Refuse/Resist" and "Dead Embryonic Cells"
A friend of mine who is way more into metal than me has been trying to turn me on to things like Amon Amarth, In Flames and Arch Enemy, but that stuff doesn't do it for me. Especially the stuff with the keyboards, it just sounds so pretentious. The only band IMO that he's shown me that seems to be able to pull off the keyboards + metal without sounding pretentious is Dimmu Borgir and Tristania.
I heard this band called Sworn Enemy the other day on MTV2 and thought they sounded pretty kickass. Anyone's seen them live?
Cool song but just not on my top-10:D. However, I find the "Reise Reise"-album a bit inconsistent and dare I say ...weak. No still a solid album but in my view the weakest of them all. But the song "Reise Reise" is a Teutonic masterpiece - very powerful.
25 AA61Hvy: Life to Lifeless-Killlswitch Engage Breathing New Life-Damage Plan
26 AirPacific747: I think Reise Reise is better than the album "Rosenrot" though.
27 Daleaholic: Gotta be Before I Forget - Slipknot
28 Usnseallt82: Damn good choice. Enemy and Ugly are two of my favorite songs from them. Others... Killswitch Engage Ill Nino Disturbed Metallica Korn Staind Tool SO
29 EZEIZA: What about Metallica's "one"? IMO one of the greatest heavy metal songs + video of all time. To the best band ... my favourite is Metallica (everythin
