Pushtun Afghans One Of The Lost Tribes Or Israel

The ethnic majority Pushtuns/Pathans of Afghanistan and western parts of Pakistan are considered one of the lost tribes of Israel, ironically it is they who make up the Taliban, and not the other ethnic groups of Afghanistan composed of Tajik, Uzbek, Turkmen and Hazra communities Smile

And, again, your point, Airmale? I'm sure there's some kind of Anti-US/Israel reason for it, as always.

Again, it is Israel. "Israel" is not only the name of the ME country, but also refers to Jewish tribes that lived in the ME a couple thousand years ago. But I wouldn't expect you to know that, of course.

First ADG thought there was a Palestine 2000 years ago, now he thinks there wasn't anything called Israel until 1948 Big grin. What next?

First of all, Whistler, ADG is a she, and if she doesn't even know her basic history on the region then 1. Should she even be commenting on it and 2. Does she have the same lack of knowledge of American history? I ask about the 2nd point because of her unending criticism of he US.

Either way, it shows her appalling ignorance.

Poor Airmale....what an upsetting weekend. First, he finds out that PIA 747's were maintained at one point by IAI in Israel...now he finds out that the brave heroic Afghan Pushkins might be a lost tribe of Israel.....feeling vulnerable Airmale??????

For ADG's edification, the Land of Israel has existed for thousands of years, the State of Israel for only the past 53.

Perhaps the more knowledgeable Israeli's and Jewish people would know of this fact more, its true and no different to that the Ethiopian Jews are one of the lost tribes as well as a community in Burma, the Afganhs also follow are tribal system that was evident it the tribes of Israel and many Jews agree with it, I guess even the Jewish members here are quite ignorant about their religion, as for my intention for this thread is simple just to bring some facts and general knowledge about the Afghans and their country to you all, by the way Kabul ws one of the places to be in along with Beirut and Tehran, no differnt to Europe Smile

Airmale bhai: if the Taleban are descendants of long lost Israeli tribes, then why is your Prez insisting on keeping them in Kabul? Does Musharraf work for Mossad? I guess that would be your next theory!

The main condition for Pak support to the so-called "Global Coalition" was that Powell agree to the Taleban being involved in any future govt. in Kabul. And powell being Powell agreed.

Just curious ok?

Indianguy, the Taliban will NOT be involved in any government if they're overthrown-they'll be exiled and outlawed. And what do you mean by "Powell being Powell, agreed."? Powell doesn't make the policy, Indianguy, he simply carries out the orders of his President, and his President certainly did not agree to keep the Taliban in the government.

Actually, Alpha 1, see the news.

POwell has said in ISB, that the "moderate Taleban" (an oxymoron) shall be an integral part of any future govt in Afghanistan.

He's certainly not talking about anyone currently calling the shots (no pun intended) in Kabul. Those folks are as good as dead.

Who gives a shit!? Now they've converted to a different religion and hate Israel's guts. I don't think anyone cares.

Jews went all over the world over the years. I think there's still some Jews living among the Kurds. Surprise surprise.  Insane

Actually, the State of Israel treats very seriously any conditions that might lead a group of people to be identified as "a lost tribe of Israel" as they did when they airlifted thousands of Ethiopian Jews out of their war torn country.

However, there is no proof at all that the Pashtun people are a lost tribe of Israel as they practice no Jewish... practices. The Ethipians had sabbath on saturday, spoke hebrew, committed bar mitzvah and many more. These people are as Muslim as a Mohammad.

I understand that there was still resistance in Israel to accept the Ethiopians as a 'lost tribe'. It was reported that there shades of racism from both the Ashkenazi and Sephardic groups....as the Ethiopians were black. There was also reported to be some doubt as to their authenticity.

At least, that is what was reported here in North America. I recall the massive airlift effort by EL AL to repatriate the Ethiopians. Very impressive! Are the Ethiopians now well integrated??

Ah .. it pertains to a very young country and very old tribes ... (and the trouble in the ME IS REAL)

Go back far enough and we are all related.
